40 carrots at bloomingdale’s

New York, NY

Relocation and rebranding of Bloomingdale’s popular 40-year-old frozen yogurt, sandwich, and salad counter, 40 Carrots. The project was charged with moving the café from its basement level space to replace a moribund cafeteria on the 7th floor while having the decor reflect the light, healthy menu of the eatery. Inspired by a small, striped Christmas box that landed in the office at the time, a scheme was launched that introduced a bright, multi-colored palette that played off bright white counters, fixtures, and tables and a natural wood flooring.

Design is being used as a prototype for stores in Boca Raton, FL; White Plains, NY; Chestnut Hill, MA and Short Hills, NJ.
