Founded in 2007 by Leon Jakimič, Lasvit is taking its place among the major players in the field with an upscale collection of limited edition and custom light fixtures and objects. The opening of the New York City showroom in the Cast Iron Historical District of SoHo is their second US location and will serve as a staging area for display and sales primarily aimed at hospitality and retail clients.

Working closely with the in-house creative team in Prague, bpA was able to oversee the execution of a clean, museum-like space that serves as a quiet backdrop to the dynamic hung and floor-mounted fixtures. Special attention was given to the structural and electrical systems of the century-old building to accommodate the required flexibility for the rotation of fixtures as product lines are introduced seasonally.
